It isn’t what you think. My lover is my kindle… and he is dying.
It started just the other day. I went to curl up on my ginormous couch with my lover and he wouldn’t put out. I was shocked because lover has always left me satisfied.
We have been through so much together, lover and I. He has accompanied me on all doctors appointments, making the waiting room an almost pleasant experience. He comes with me on all trips, big or small. And he even provided me with the first chapter book I read to my boys while we were on their first road trip.
Oh Kindle, my lover, why do you spite me now?! All I am guilty of is smothering you in my love!
And now, no matter what I do, I can’t turn the bastard on! It used to be so easy. I suppose every relationship reaches this point eventually…

Have you tried resetting? Slide the power button and hold to a count of ten. Might take a while, but worked for me.

see it as an excuse to get a new one!! The new paperwhite has an integrated light and touch screen!

Don’t panic, new kindle kiosk in Barra shopping, you might need to sell a kidney on the way to pay though

Have you tried contacting Amazon? When my kindle’s screen froze they gave me a new one, not even charging for the shipping! (:

I just got my Kindle for Christmas (Kindle Fire HD) and the speakers have already died on it! I’m crushed. It’s such a hassle to ship it back from Peru. The headphone jack still works – I’m thinking I’ll just give it to the kid, and buy myself a new bigger one.

You should send them an email! Mine is 2 years old so I figure I just may have killed it. At the same time, I told them that as an American I would not buy or ship one here.
If you don’t have one by Christmas, tell me. You can mail one to me in the US and I will ship it from Brazil
